Who was Marie-Francoise Perroton?

Marie Francoise Perroton was born in 1796 in the sums of Lyon. She died in 1873. She was the first pioneer of Missionary Sisters Society Of Mary.
When she was older, one of her legs swelled up and eventually, the other one also. She had elephantiasis for the last 15 years of her life. It then became difficult to go to mass because she couldn't climb hills anymore.
After her death:
About a year after her death, she offered all her sufferings to the church and the Holy Father.

How did she contribute to the Marist Community?
When she was 49, she read the appeal of South Pacific women for teachers. She was 50 when she got there to help and 62 when the first European women joined to start the Missionary Sisters of the Society of Mary. Marie Francoise Perroton is a role model on the MSCW Perroton girls. She is an exceptional women who went out on a mission that was unheard of for women in that time. She was the founder of the Marist Missionary Sisters.
