Who was Jeanne-Marie Chavoin?
Jeanne-Marie Chavoin was the foundress of Marist Sisters. She was born 29th August 1786 and died on the 30th of June 1858. Jeanne-Marie Chavoin was a strong and healthy country girl who had many natural gifts. Her family was very religious and extremely devoted to God and she would go to church to pray for long periods of time, especially when she was deciding her vocation.
